PJ Butta is a legendary Radio Personality from Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in San Diego, PJ moved to LA County to attend the University of La Verne and has been working in Los Angeles radio for 27 years.
The “Smooth like Butta” voiced PJ lucked into his first radio gig at KKBT “The Beat” by talking his way into an on-air position, becoming the first Filipino-American to be on the radio in LA. He also landed another first, as the first DJ to break the news of Tupac Shakur’s death in 1996, moving the industry forward by helping the careers of artists like Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and The Fugees with his Butta Bootleg new music releases.
He made his first television debut as himself on the popular T.V. sitcom, "Moesha" in 1996 and continued his television career on "Sister, Sister" playing a DJ in 1998 and "The Parkers" in 2001. PJ is now hosting "The World Chart Show" here on ASR (Allsounds Radio)
